How I judge a firm
Discounts and marketing do not make this list. Four things do.
Payouts first
If getting paid is slow, capped, or political, nothing else about the firm matters.
Rule clarity
You should never lose an account to a rule you did not know existed. Plain rules beat clever ones.
Drawdown structure
How the trailing drawdown behaves decides how tradable the account really is day to day.
Cost to restart
Blowing an eval is part of the game. The reset price decides how survivable the journey is.
